Plant Medicine

In my practice, I work with plant medicine and assist people wanting to experience a safe journey in a safe place. Plant medicines provide powerful to ways to enhance self awareness and boost the therapy process. Cacao is a gentle plant medicine that has the potential to bring clarity and connect you to your heart.

As a therapist, I see a lot of people struggling with depression, anxiety and stress. With the current new wave of therapies in the form of plant medicines, it is no secret that psilocybin has shown great results in mental health treatment. In 2023, I finished my training in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy at the Experiential Training Institute in Amsterdam. This training is accredited in the Netherlands by the board of psychologists and This movement brings a lot of bright possibilities for the future of psychedelic assisted therapy! As a certified facilitator, I would love to take you on a journey to deeper explore your inner world. Psychedelic therapy is also available online.

Cacao

Man harvesting cacao

The use of cacao goes back to the Mayas. They described the working of cacao as "heart opening" and already realised the strong potential of this gentle but powerful plant medicine. Current research shows us that the active ingredient of cacao, theobromine, widens the blood vessels and stimulates the heart.

Cacao allows you to deeply connect with yourself and others in a deeper, more authentic loving way. Fear and anxiety will be replaced with love and joy. Cacao also helps to deepen your meditation practice. It can also develop mental clarity and help to change your perspective. This clarity will enhance creativity, unlocking your full potential. For this reason, cacao is often used to enhance productivity. For this reason, painting or journalling is very common during a cacao ceremony. Psychedelics

A number of recent studies suggest that psychedelics may be useful for alleviating depression and anxiety, PTSD and addiction. In my practice, I'm fully prepared to guide and accompany experiences of expansion of consciousness with the newest therapeutic tools that we have available today. I can offer you a safe place and full support whilst you take a deeper dive into your mind. Expanding your consciousness can help to kick start or deepen your therapeutic journey.

Plant-based hallucinogens are not new, for centuries plant medicine have been used in ceremonies around the world. In the 1950s and 1960s, there was a growing interest in the potential for psychedelics to treat mental illness and lots of research was done. Unfortunately, due to political reasons, research on psychedelics came to a halt in the United States. However, in the last decade, the interest in psychedelics among medical researchers has increased and it has shown much potential for treating a variety of mental health issues.

Not only in scientific areas has plant medicine resurged, also in the general population there is a wide offer of guided sessions and ceremonies to expand your consciousness and to improve your mental health. The difference in guided sessions with a therapist, is that a standardised protocol is being followed to ensure your physical and emotional safety. To ensure this, preparation and integration are important parts of this process. Providing a safe space to work therapeutically whilst exploring the depths of your consciousness is of utmost importance. I ensure professional guidance and finished my training in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy at the Experiential Training Institute in 2023. I am excited to be your guide on your psychedelic journey. I can also help you with the preparation and integration process. This process is also available online. Be mindful that it's your responsibility to check the legal status of psychedelics in your country of residence.
